Every child should be taught how to be safe online. In the new digital world, there are technological wonders, which often introduce cyber threats of many kinds. The online world can be a place of inappropriate conduct and content, where kids may feel anonymous. There are bullies, predators, hackers, and scammers that may pose a threat to your children. These factors can make it challenging for parents to guide their children today on interacting with others through technology. Providing this important guidance on online safety and privacy begins with talking about it and encouraging safe and smart decisions about online activity. Let’s explore some concepts and tips that apply to keeping everyone safe online, regardless of age!
What we know for sure.
First, let's set aside any stereotypes we have about the elderly and what you think financial abuse looks like. Just because an age is defined as elderly in our society, doesn't necessary mean a person is old. Nor does it mean they are incapable of making quality decisions and taking care of themselves. Financial abuse happens at many different ages, mental capacities, and may look very different from person to person.
In today’s society, it’s not uncommon to hear someone say, “I need more hours in the day.” Like so many other people out there, this is a struggle I am constantly battling.
It was stated in an article from psychologytoday.com, “In today’s hectic, connected world it seems like we should be busy 24/7 just to keep up with the basics. What we do never seems to be enough, and there doesn’t seem to be enough time to do things well”. Sound familiar?

Food is fuel for our body, but the right fuel can be pricey... With that said, often food is more than just fuel. Whether it is right or wrong, people also use it for psychological comfort, celebrating events, and as a staple for socialization. All of which may have had some influence on the creation of diet culture. Consequently, the online world gives diet culture a very defining voice. At times, the number of voices can be overwhelming and conflicting. What we do know for sure is that what we intake plays a crucial role in our health. The challenge is, that can be defined very different from person to person. Here are some tips to help you find your middle.
